 New Horizons Computer Learning Centers encourages all Veterans and Service Members to contact the VA directly regarding a complete explanation of benefits available under the Post 9/11 GI Bill. The following are highlights of benefits that eligible individuals may receive using their GI Bill Benefits to attend training with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.

Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits help you get started in your career quickly. Depending on your percent of eligibility you may be able to start your training with little or no out of pocket expense or education loans.

What benefits am I eligible to receive?

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are paid directly to  New Horizons based on your percentage of eligibility.

Veterans who served less than 36 total months on active duty will receive a percentage of the tuition and fees. For example, if a veteran who served Veterans who served on or after September 11, 2001, for a total of 90 days – or were honorably discharged for a service-connected disability after serving at least 30 consecutive days – are eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Service periods already pledged to satisfy a service academy active duty obligation, and service periods pledged for education loan repayment purposes, do not count as active duty service to establish eligibility for Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits. In general, veterans will receive 36 months of benefits They have 15 years, from the date of their last separation from active duty, to use the benefit.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides up to 36 months of education benefits. It is payable only for training at an eligible institution. The Benefit covers tuition and fees.

Tuition and Fees: Veterans who served at least 36 months of qualifying active duty service may qualify for 100% of available education benefits. Veterans who served less than 36 total months on active duty will receive a percentage of the tuition and fees.

Monthly Housing Allowance: Eligible students may receive a monthly housing allowance based on the ZIP code of the school. This stipend is based on the DoD's Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for an E-5 with dependents. Service members currently on active duty and veterans (and eligible family members) and those taking courses on a half-time basis do not qualify for the monthly housing stipend.

Books and Supplies: Veterans are eligible for up to $1,000 annual stipend for books and supplies. This payment is made directly to the students.
