Live & Interactive - Providing the full classroom experience to any remote location!
Remote Classroom offers students the flexibility of taking courses from a remote location, with LIVE video and audio participation integrated with our Classrooms & Instructors. This makes it even easier for you to get the course you want, when and where you need it. New Horizons can enroll one student or an entire group of students in our online Remote Classroom courses, and virtually any course we provide through our Instructor-Led Classroom curriculum can be delivered to you through our Remote Classroom. Stay home and log-in - you'll remain an interactive student with your own designated seat and computer in our on-site classroom.
Remote students are able to hear the instructor's lecture and see the instructor's presentation, and demonstrations, as well as perform labs by remotely controlling the in-classroom student computer. The instructor has the ability to take control of the student’s in-classroom computer if assistance is needed to assist them with any lab work.

Minimum System Requirements
Student participation requires the following minimum system configuration
• Windows 2000 Professional or later
• P4 1GHz processor or faster
• 512MB RAM or more
• Browser: Internet Explorer (IE) 5.0 or higher; Cookies and Session Cookies enabled
• Display – 1024x768 minimum resolution and High Color (16 bit) display definition
• Sound card with speakers and microphone or headset with microphone
Recommended Optional Configurations
The following configurations are not required but will enhance your experience allowing you to view each application on a full screen.
• Dual monitors or two computers
• Higher than 1024x768 resolution on your display(s)
Internet Access
• Broadband Internet connection (cable, ISDN, DSL or better that provides a minimum of 256K speeds (512K recommended))
• Experience may vary based on connection speed
Web Proxy Servers and Firewalls
If you are behind a Web Proxy Server or Firewall, you must check for the following in order to successfully attend Remote Learning.
