If you're new to Microsoft Server technology, you'll need to start by building a strong foundation. The CompTIA certification programs and Windows Operating Systems certifications can get you started:

Microsoft's new generation of certifications allow you to focus your time and energy on exams and certifications that are very specific to your working environment. Obtain one or more of the following Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certifications:
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration
Expand your Opportunities
After obtaining at least two MCTS certifications, you may want to go further by obtaining one or both of the Microsoft Certified IT Professional certifications.
