SCP offers 4 security courses to help you acquire these skills: Tactical Perimeter Defense - Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS) The first Security Certified Program security course is a must have course for any network technician that has even the slightest privileged access to a network. Our five day instructor-Led course will help students understand the basics of defending a network from the outside in. For the first time ever, the SCP will offer a new certification for passing the test for Tactical Perimeter Defense. The certification is called Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS). Tactical Perimeter Defense focuses on lab operating systems of Windows Server 2003, Suse LINUX 10 and ISA Server as the firewall solution. The SCNS exam is designed to validate the foundational skills required by security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: Network Defense Fundamentals, Advanced TCP/IP, Routers and Access Control Lists, Designing Firewalls, Configuring Firewalls, Configuring Virtual Private Networks, Designing an Intrusion Detection System, Configuring an Intrusion Detection System and Securing Wireless Networks. Strategic Infrastructure Security - Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) The second course in the SCP line-up leads to a certification of Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) and will give a network administrator the hands on skills needed to protect their network from the inside out. This course prepares you for prevention techniques as well as giving the candidate an understanding of risk analysis and security policy creation in a blended technology environment. The up-to-date security lessons and intense, hands-on labs bring a real world security network to training candidates. The SCNP exam is designed to validate the foundational skills required by security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: Cryptography, Hardening Linux Computers, Hardening Windows Computers, Attack Techniques, Security on the Internet and World Wide Web, Performing a Risk Analysis, Creating a Security Policy and Analyzing Packet Signatures. Advanced Security Implementation - Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA) The Advanced Security Implementation course is a five day, instructor led class that is for those individuals who wish to take their security skills to the next level. In this course, candidates will learn how network security is moving towards trusted communication, and how the defensive schemes alone are not enough. Dealing with the most exciting and critical areas of security, the ASI course specifically addresses digital certificates, digital signatures and Biometrics. The ASI Course is designed to validate the foundational skills required by architect level security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: intro to trusted networks, cryptography and data security, computer forensics, law and legislation, biometrics, strong authentication, digital certificates and digital signatures. EnterpriseSecurity Solutions - Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA) As networks, and network security evolves, the move toward trusted networks is inevitable. Candidates who wish to remain on the cutting edge of their security career must have this knowledge, and these skills. These candidates are aware that the defense provided by the firewall and IDS alone, while required, are not enough. The ESS Course is designed to validate the foundational skills required by architect level security professionals in an enterprise environment. These skills include, but are not limited to: trusted network implementation, planning and designing a trusted network, Microsoft trusted networks, Linux trusted networks, managing certificates, local resource security, wireless security, securing Email and building trusted solutions. The timely information and hands-on labs allow candidates to experience the applications within a teaching environment. The SCNA certification requires passing scores on two exams. The first exam titled, Enterprise Security Implementation (ESI), is supported by the course material found in the two SCNA courses. The second exam, The Solution Exam (TSE), covers all facets of the SCNP and SCNA courses. The Solutions Exam is an exciting and challenging exam that is entirely scenario-based; many of the exam items may be several pages in length.
