Cisco has a wide range of unified communications solutions and applications available to customers, and companies can invest in IT training to ensure their employees understand the technology and sufficiently leverage the tools to improve business operations.Nsikan Udo, solutions manager for servers and storage at Resourcery, said that unified communications networks can support a large number of emerging requirements, which can keep companies competitive in a tech-savvy market, the source reported."It generally helps an organization protect its investment while adding innovative capabilities without having to deal with operational inconsistencies," said Udo.For example, Staples recently announced its four-year plan to support its 325 offices and stores in seven European countries with a unified communications network. Computerworld UK reported Staples plans to deploy the integrated network in conjunction with its existing Cisco infrastructure to enhance collaboration between its branches.
