Cisco releases new suite of home networking products

Cisco recently launched its suite of Linksys HomePlug AV Powerline solutions, which gives IT professionals an opportunity to have a blazing fast network while at work, using their existing home electrical wiring.

IT professionals who have the flexibility to work from home can benefit greatly from this new suite of products, which can provide speeds of up to 200 megabits per second, allowing homeowners to stream videos, collaborate on web-based presentations, and use other large data-consuming applications.

"Cisco's Linksys products set the standard for great home networking experiences with their ease of use and outstanding performance," said Scott Kabat, director of marketing for the Cisco Home Networking business unit. "Our new Powerline products deliver on this promise. Just plug them in, and they start working."
