A brief history of New Horizons
For the past 30 years our innovative, award-winning learning methods have revolutionized the way students learn, retain and apply new knowledge.
The Creating IT Futures Foundation recently elected its 2012 Board of Directors, bringing in three professionals new to the foundation: Julius Clark of Wells Fargo Bank, Diana Ermini of OnForce and Hayward West of Deloitte Consulting."I'm always impressed by the wide array of professional and life experiences new members bring to our board of directors," said Charles Eaton, executive director of the Foundation. "This newest group will be uniquely able to challenge and inform us as we move forward in 2012."These additions to the foundation will work to get IT professional across the United States the IT training they need to find employment in the IT sector. The foundation is currently working on an IT apprenticeship program for IT professionals in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the greater Minneapolis / St. Paul area.Grant programs are another opportunity for those seeking IT training to learn about the skills they need to succeed in the job market. According to the local CBS affiliate, WWJ-TV, the Department of Labor is administering grants across the country for IT training through the H-1B Technical Skills Training Grant Competition.
