New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Largest Computer Training Provider In World, SIMBA Study Shows

SANTA ANA, Calif. - May 2, 2001 - New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, a subsidiary of New Horizons Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEWH), is the largest computer training company in the world, according to a recently published report from Simba Information, a provider of news, analysis and market research reports on the media and information industry.

Results of the study, "IT and Soft Skills Corporate Training: 2001 Market Forecast and Analysis," indicated that New Horizons captured the largest share of the worldwide training market in 2000 on system-wide revenues that grew 22 percent to $530.3 million in 2000 from $435.1 million in 1999. New Horizons was ranked No. 3 in the world in Simba's 2000 survey.

In the 2001 survey, New Horizons also strengthened its position as the largest training provider in the U.S. The portion of system-wide revenues earned within the U.S. grew 22 percent from $356.8 million in 1999 to $436.3 million in 2000. New Horizons operates more than 280 training centers in 47 countries and delivers approximately three million student training days annually.

"We take great pride in being the world leader in IT training," said Tom Bresnan, president and chief executive officer for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc. "Both individual and corporate customers in almost any part of the world have a choice of training options, from classroom training to our newest offering, New Horizons Online LIVEi Learning or instructor-facilitated classes delivered over the Internet. Our objective is to be the one and only solution for all information technology training."

In late February of 2001, New Horizons launched its eLearning initiative with a product called New Horizons Online LIVEi Learning.

"We think this offering will expand our market beyond the limitations of our current classroom structure and reach those students who are not candidates for classroom training," Bresnan said. "We will be the only company to allow its customers the convenience and ability to transition to their desired learning experience, whether it be in the classroom or over the Internet. The real customer benefit is that the content will be consistent regardless of the delivery method."
