Citrix unveils CloudPortal at Citrix Synergy

At the recent Citrix Synergy conference in Barcelona, Spain, Citrix announced the availability of Citrix CloudPortal, its new product that will help customers turn their cloud infrastructure into successful cloud business.

"Many of the largest and most successful clouds in the world have chosen Citrix technology to build their cloud businesses," said Sameer Dholakia, group vice president and general manager of Cloud Platforms Group for Citrix. "While others seek to turn cloud providers into commodity suppliers, our open approach helps enable them to highlight their unique skills and competencies."

Citrix's new CloudPortal product helps cloud providers of all sizes by automating the commerce ad customer service aspects of running a cloud business, which includes on-boarding, account management, billing and metering, customer service and service provisioning.

According to Cloud Pro, CloudPortal is Citrix's attempt to improve margins and keep a good level of customer service to speed up growth within the company.

The website says the new product allows users more flexibility in terms of adding and reducing services, allowing companies to maximize efficiency and save money.
