For the past 30 years our innovative, award-winning learning methods have revolutionized the way students learn, retain and apply new knowledge.
Those looking into an IT career may want to see what security can bring to the table, as Microsoft Account group manager Eric Doerr said that people reuse passwords and logins across platforms, such about 20 percent of the program's logins can be found on lists of compromised accounts from hackers. Beyond better passwords, better IT security may be necessary for those working in companies where users have these progrmas."You’d be surprised how often the lists - especially the publicly posted ones - are complete garbage with zero matches," Doerr posts on the website. "But sometimes there are hits - on average, we see successful password matches of around 20 percent of matching usernames. A recent one only had 4.5 percent overlap. This is actually exciting because it means that, on average, 80 percent of our customers are following safe password practices, and this reflects a growing sophistication in our customers."Despite the sophistication of users, professionals should look to IT training to help make sure the company's network is as safe as possible, as it seems users can get lazy at a pretty good clip.ZDNet said tightening security is something that should happen across all companies. For an IT career to move forward at this point, security is something that should be brushed up on by all professionals.
