A brief history of New Horizons
For the past 30 years our innovative, award-winning learning methods have revolutionized the way students learn, retain and apply new knowledge.
A recently released survey by Websense found 77 percent of respondents believe mobile devices are vital to operations in the workplace, while 76 percent believe such devices open up a business to security risks. The Global Study on Mobility Risks also found only 39 percent have the measures and controls to confront security problems caused by mobile devices, which makes tech professionals with IT training in security practices that much more valuable to companies."IT has spent years working on desktop security and trying to prevent data loss over web and email channels - but mobile devices are radically changing the game," said Tom Clare, senior director of product marketing management for Websense. "Tablets and iOS devices are replacing corporate laptops as employees bring-their-own-devices to work and access corporate information."With the increased use of mobile devices, comes the growth of bring-your-own-device polices across the United States. According to InformationWeek, there are a few risks for small to mid-sized businesses with such policies, which include data leakage, messaging firmware and security updates.
