A brief history of New Horizons
For the past 30 years our innovative, award-winning learning methods have revolutionized the way students learn, retain and apply new knowledge.
In a blog post for CIO, Curt Finch, CEO and founder of Journyx, said companies in a variety of industries are embracing the consumerization of IT products in their business practices. With the increase in workers using their own devices to conduct business operations, companies are creating new IT positions to better manage and protect data and information accessed on these devices. Companies should invest in IT training to protect consumer devices.According to Finch, many companies are hiring for a mobility manager to teach workers about security and best practices when using their own smartphones, tablets and computers for company work. This position will recommend the most effective applications for business tasks, as well as help implement new policies and procedures throughout the organization. For companies that have yet to start consumerizing their business practices, IT World recommends discussing the transition with all employees, highlighting the many works associated with bring-your-own-device practices. If the company is able to deploy productivity tools to workers on their personal devices, tasks can be completed remotely, and workers can enjoy a more flexible workplace. After workers have started to use their own devices for company operations, IT departments should create policies and procedures to best manage and protect this data. This is where the mobility manager Finch discussed would come into play. This position would create a cohesive policy implemented company-wide for enhanced security and uniformity, the source reported.
