About ITIL

ITIL is part of the Best Practice Solutions portfolio designed to help organizations become more effective across IT service management, project, programs and security.

The AXELOS methods include ITIL®, PRINCE2® and RESILA® and offer guidance on cyber resilience and risk, value and portfolio management. New Horizons offers ITIL certification and training courses to elevate your IT management skill set.

What is ITIL 4

ITIL is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world, helping individuals and organizations realize business change, transformation and growth through the proper use of IT. But ITIL v3 was released in 2007 and amended in 2011. Since then, the world has changed.

Digital transformation has altered the IT landscape significantly. ITIL 4 addresses this new world in ways no other best practice framework can, providing an end-to-end operating model for the delivery and operation of technology-based products and services. ITIL 4 embraces a holistic philosophy to service management, integrating collaborative frameworks such as Lean IT, Agile and DevOps into a single, seamless approach.

DevOps Training and Certification

DevOps (development and operations) is a software development phrase used to describe a type of agile relationship between Development and IT Operations. The goal of DevOps is to improve communication, collaboration, and processes between the various roles in the software development cycle in order to improve and speed up software delivery.

Six Sigma Training at New Horizons

The Six Sigma methodology allows an organization to improve the quality of its processes by identifying causes of errors, working to minimize and correct future mistakes. From manufacturing processes, to logistics and retail—the Six Sigma process improvement methodology has worked to help numerous companies improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

The Six Sigma approach, however, is as applicable to IT as it is to any other business process. From network infrastructure to ERP to E-Business interfaces and software applications, the Six Sigma approach can be used by project managers as well as IT department managers to improve their service levels, reduce system downtime, and optimize their processes.
