Ohio's TechCred program helps employers upskill current and future employees in technology-focused skills. When your application is approved and your employees complete their training, the state reimburses your eligible training costs. New Horizons is an Ohio TechCred partner, and our team can help you choose courses and prepare your application.

TechCred FAQ
How much can my company be reimbursed?
Up to $1,000 per employee, per credential, with a maximum of $30,000 per application period. Reimbursement covers eligible training costs and is subject to state approval.
Which employees are eligible?
Credential earners must be Ohio residents and W-2 employees of the applying employer when reimbursement is requested. You can train prospective employees, as long as they're on your payroll by the time you request reimbursement. 1099 contractors are not eligible.
Can any Ohio business apply?
Ohio employers of any size and industry can apply. Each employer may submit one application per application period.
What's the timeline after we're approved?
Training must be completed within 12 months of your award date. Submit your reimbursement documentation within six weeks of each employee completing their credential.
